"There is nothing more truly artistic than to love people."
Vincent Van Gogh
Lost in details, they say, as if a clear view needs to be a bird’s eye view. Nothing couldn’t be more wrong. Details say a lot. That is why I have always cherished them so much in my paintings: hyperrealistic, wildly colorful, almost abstract details as a powerful way to understand. The context is no longer the first thing to take note, no preconcept mindset is evoked, then something comes to mind: a simpler, maybe purer emotion and a wider, maybe stronger, understanding.
Then, another approach emerged: no more details (not so many at least) but a white canvas to fill with people, people’s words and dreams. That is what I am doing at the moment.

Details, they say. Of no importance, often implied. Not for me.
